Styled my “3089” shoot to show how one would really put it on, what brought me joy in styling this is how once centered everyone is their own main character but even not centered the whole group stands out.
The things that inspire me are all from the multidimensionality of my identity. I am heavily influenced by Anime and Hip Hop culture. I like to think myself as the harmonious combination of Black and Japanese culture, I continuously seek to innovate my heritage into the futurism of Afro.
What inspires my styling process is of course how I want to tell a narrative to the audience. How can I will the view of my creations into an emotion, reaction, response, I want these outfits to create dialogue.
Most of all, I let my heart wander & imagination roam.
